What makes a game "like Drop the Number"
Three things, and a game needs all of them to scratch the same itch:
- Doubling numbers: 2, 4, 8, 16 … 2048, the core of 2048.
- Falling blocks: you choose a column, gravity does the rest.
- Chains: one merge drops a block onto another and the combo keeps going.

1. Blokami: the same gameplay, no ads
Five columns, a block to drop, equal numbers merge. Blokami keeps the Drop the Number formula and removes what players complain about: there are no ads and no subscription. 2. Classic 2048
The original swipe game. No falling blocks: you slide the whole grid in four directions. Slower and more strategic, a good pick if you want to think more and react less. Many versions exist, most with ads.
3. "Shoot up" block games (X2 Blocks style)
Instead of dropping from the top, you shoot blocks upward into the stack. Same doubling numbers, a different feel, and usually a heavy ad load.
4. Merge block puzzles on a grid
You place pieces on a free grid and groups of three or more equal numbers merge. Calmer, closer to a board game than an arcade game.
5. Daily number puzzles
If what you like is the numbers rather than the speed, daily puzzles (one grid a day, no timer) are the slow version of the genre.
